The Tunnel chat is a movable window — dock it to either side, or pop it out and drag it anywhere (the icons at the top-right of the chat header). It’s framed as end-to-end encrypted so it never reads like a support widget. The four accordion sections keep everything else in one column without the scroll-tower.

You couldn’t tell a P2P tunnel from a stored one in the old list — now the mode chip carries it, and dates are relative.

What changed & why

Collapsed tunnels stop pretending to work. Share link, QR, downloads and P2P go dead and greyed; a banner leads with “files permanently deleted.” Flip the Tunnel: Active control up top to see it. (Was: a collapsed tunnel still showed a live-looking share panel.)

The scroll-tower becomes an accordion. Share / Recipients / Settings / Danger — one concern open at a time. Chat becomes a movable window: dock it left or right, or pop it out and drag it anywhere (icons at the top-right of the chat header).

Secrets are masked with a reveal toggle. The read-key link and writer token no longer sit on screen in plaintext — matches the zero-knowledge promise. Try the eye toggle.

Create puts files first. Choose files, name it, done — the three either/or settings collapse into “Advanced options” with sane defaults.

Less prose, definitions on hover. Explanatory paragraphs are cut; jargon (tunnelAn encrypted share. The server only ever stores ciphertext — never your keys or plaintext., writer token, manifest, ECDH…) carries its definition on hover/focus. Safety warnings stay visible — never hidden behind a hover.

Polish. Mode chips + relative dates on cards, a styled drop-zone instead of the raw file input, lifted contrast on secondary text, and stroke-icon reveal/copy buttons (no stray emoji).

Chat reads as encrypted & private. Renamed Tunnel chat, with a green lock, an “end-to-end encrypted” caption, an at-top notice, and monospace peer handles on every message — so it’s clearly a key-locked conversation with your recipients, never a support widget.
